In addition to slapping on a fresh coat of paint, I finally created a zip folder of all my current work for all of you lovely readers.
Plus formspring is shutting down, so I have a question for those of you who might want to contact me in the future...
All that and more in this text only update!
So first and foremost. After numerous requests to do this, here are the links to my caption collection:
Part 1
Part 2
I've never used MediaFire before, so let me know if there are any problems.
Part 2 the caps are slightly out of order as I had to take some pieces that were originally in Part 1 and move them over to meet the file size requirements, but otherwise everything should be fairly straight forward.
Also, all my caps are labeled by their production code (C###) so I included a list of titles for my earlier pieces that don't have the title on the caption itself. I think the list ended up in Part 2, but like I said with the file rearrangement I'm not positive of where everything ended up.
Now for the second order of business: Formspring
Now formspring and been screwed up for a while and I had been meaning to fix it, but since they're going out of business I guess it doesn't really matter now.
But it does raise the question of, for those of you who would like to contact me, how would you like to do it? My email is at the top of the blog, but I know a lot of you would like to remain anonymous so obviously that is not an ideal solution.
So if any of you have a suggestion for what can replace formspring on this site, leave me a comment.
I think that's it for now. I'm going to try to get another cap done this weekend, but who knows if that is going to happen or not. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your day!
Rauk,
ReplyDeleteI had no problem downloading your zip folders. I got straight through on the first one, and only had to enter a captcha on the second one before getting through. Oh, and the list did end up in the second zip file.
I really like the new background image for your blog. It matches your title graphic a lot better now. Of course with a red title graphic and a red background, the pink/purple text stands out as a little odd.
As for a replacement to formspring... I started getting really random questions that were obviously not intended for me in particular awhile back, so I took it down and started using Wufoo (www.wufoo.com). It's not quite as straight forward as forum spring, but once you have it set up it just hums in the background. You can set up the form any way you want, including optional fields (like for name and/or email address). You are limited to 100 submissions a month I believe, but I've never received enough attention to even get close to that limit. I have my wufoo form right on my homepage, while Dee put her wufoo form on a seperate page.
I'm glad to hear that the zip files work, and thanks for reminding me to change the text color. I haven't decided on a final color scheme, but I'll play around with it for a few days and see what I like.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely look into wufoo. I have a feeling my formspring wasn't working for the past few months anyway, so it's probably for the best I have to find a new service anyway.
