Just Ask

I've been in a bit of a rut these past couple of weeks. I'm still putting out new captions, but I haven't really loved any of them. I just sort of feel like I'm spinning my wheels. So I'm taking a tip from my newest caption and asking for what I want. If you've got a few minutes check out the new page I just added the explains what my current situation is and how I think it can be fixed. I'd really appreciate it.

Anyway, here's a new caption for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.

  3. I posted my 2 cents' worth on your page :)

As for this caption, I don't have anything bad to say about it... It's well-written and thought out, and has a delicious sensual flavor to it. Bonus points for a TG caption that actually doesn't have a transformation in it.

Actually, this is a good example of something you could do more of... Captions focusing on the process leading up to the decision to transform, whoever makes it....

I like the layout on this one. Simple and clean, it lets you focus on the story.

  4. Hello. I'm a fan who's followed you since the first tf-media before you had a blog. I enjoy most of your work. That having been said:

You suffer from the use of the same voice. All of your antagonists sound almost the same, the only exception being if they're being mean they'll throw in an insult or two, but it's almost always the same insult or two. The benefits of being a woman are frequently given in the same terms using very similar language, and the roles of men and women are almost always heteronormative unless the roles not being heteronormative is the point of the caption. This makes your captions fail to portray a wide array of people, personalities, temperances and genderdness, which I don't think is an actual word but is supposed to describe how gendered a person is one way or another.

These aren't only your weaknesses. They're actually the weaknesses of a lot of captioners, well, a lot of writers, really. But there you go. You're not immune.

    I hope that helps.

    1. Thank you for the awesome comment. You're absolutely right. Whenever I'm just trying to turn out a quick caption (which seems to be almost every caption I make these days) I tend to go to a default narrative voice which means that many of my captions end up sounding extremely similar.

And while I don't completely agree with the statement that most of my captions are heteronormative (although that could be said for most of my earlier work, it's something I've tried to work on with my more recent stuff) the assertion that I fail to portray a wide range of viewpoints is completely valid and something I'll definitely work on the future.

Thanks again for the great input. I really appreciate it.

  5. Oh yes yes. Turn me into a woman. Take away this rough male body and replace it with a soft smooth feminine one. The long hair the big bouncy breasts long slender fingers with long nails long slender legs ankles designed to wear heals and that oh so important warm slit between my legs.
Sorry I don't have any constructive criticism for you. I was just so caught up in the idea behind this caption that I had to respond to it.
