Just Keep Fighting

I found a little free time yesterday to finally get around to making a new caption. This one was another request from Tatiana over at Rachel's Haven. She requested this almost a month ago and I feel really bad about taking so long to finish it. But I really liked how it turned out, and Tatiana did too, so I guess all's well that ends well. Have a good weekend everyone, here's hoping next week will be a little less hectic.

Watch You Squirm

Why do I have so much to do this week? You know, it would have been really convenient if my writers block had coincided with me having actual work to do, but of course life never works out that way. I hope you all are finding some free time this week, I really wish I could. But things should all be back to normal in a few days, I think I'll live.

Sending in Requests

Hey everyone. This isn't an actual update as so much as a correction to a problem I've created. I was going through my email and I found a comment that I had somehow overlooked. One of my readers asked me how to send in a picture or story idea for me to caption. I realized that while I had encouraged people to do so, I had not given them a way to actually do it.

If you want to make sure I see something, leave a comment on my most recent caption. I know that I obviously missed one or else I wouldn't be writing this post, but I'm trying to be better. You can also email me at 22rauk@gmail.com, and I'll try to make sure I start checking that account more often. If you have an account over at Rachel's Haven you can send me a PM there as well.

I'm sorry about the delay in not telling you all how to contact me. I'm editing the site's header to hopefully ensure this doesn't happen again. See you all tomorrow for the regularly scheduled update.

And for those of you for whom this update doesn't apply, here's a sexy demotivational poster I stumbled across the other day, just so you don't feel like this was a complete waste of your time.

Latest Conquest

I am so tired right now. I'm sorry that I don't have new captions for you, but this weekend I was crazy busy. Still not sure if I have to go to work tomorrow. I should be off, but who knows what might come up. I'm sure there's something I could say about these captions, but my mind doesn't want to work right now, so I'm just going to go sleep. I hope you all had a good weekend, see you Wednesday.

Staring in Amazement

500,000 views. I still can't get my head around that number. I didn't think this blog would hit that number in the first year, let alone the first four months. Thank you all so much for making this blog more of a success than I could ever hope for. My ultimate goal for this site was to hit 1 million views. But after seeing just how amazing all of you are, I think I may have set my sights too low.

Anyway, today's update is the usual three captions. The first is a series I did a little while ago. I'm not too wild about the story, but I just loved the pictures (who doesn't like a sexy blonde in blue lingerie?). The next two are the last captions I made for One Eyed Pirate (Candy), including my only current sequel. My first genie caption went over so well I was asked to make another, which I happily did. For those of you who saw it over at tf-media, you may have missed the first panel, which for some reason never wanted to upload properly. But now you can see it posted in full, and hopefully it makes a little more sense.

Have a great weekend everyone. And once again, thank you. As long as you keep coming, I'll keep posting.

Making the Most of It

Pretty soon I'm going to have to make a decision about the future update schedule of the blog. I'm starting to get down to the end of my backlog of captions. Based on my current rate of posting to creating, I'll be able to keep the current schedule for another 4-5 weeks. After that, I don't know. Right now I'm hoping to be able to keep the current M-W-F updates, but there will probably be only one caption instead of three. But I've still got some time to figure it out. My biggest concern is that means I'll have to start writing about every caption when I post it. Although, I'm sure a good number of you don't really care what I've got to say as long I keep turning out new material. And based on my habit of worthlessly rambling on long after everyone has lost interest, I can't say I blame you. Like right now, at this point I have no more useful or interesting things to tell you, and yet I keep on typing...so I'll just shut up...for now.

No Hard Feelings

I'm back. Well...mostly back. I finally had a bit of a breakthrough and created some new captions this weekend. I really like how this first one turned out, the other two are pretty average, but I'll take what I can get. So while I'm not writing at 100%, it's a hell of a lot better than being stuck like I was for the past two weeks. Now I just have to keep the ball rolling. I've got some new ideas and a new request to work on, so hopefully things should be back to normal. See you Wednesday.

Chest Massage

Two updates in a row? What is going on? I won't be around a computer tomorrow night so instead of making you all wait until Friday afternoon, I decided to post these a day early. Still nothing new, but I've got a really good feeling about some pictures and story ideas I'm currently playing with. I've also gotten a new request so maybe the idea of an imaginary deadline can help motivate me to get back into capping. Well, enjoy your weekend, and wish me luck in hopefully having a breakthrough.

P.S. I forgot how much I loved this picture.

Decisions, Decisions

Nothing new to report. I've actually had some stuff going on in the real world which didn't leave much time to work on anything new. I got a few new pictures that I'm a little excited about trying to write for, but we'll see how that ends up when I finally have the time to try. I hope your week is going well, see you Friday.

A Very Bad Girl

Finally a little progress. The good news is I finally made a new caption. The bad news is I only made one. Well, I actually made more than that, but this is the only one that I feel is presentable. So the other two captions in this update are old ones, but I'm just happy that I was able to create anything at all. I hoping that this is a sign of good things to come, (a small crack before the flood gates open) but who knows. I also found some new pictures to use so maybe seeing some new material will help inspire me. Thank you all for being patient, this is pretty new territory to me as I'm not usually stuck like this for so long. I guess I'll just chalk this up as a learning experience and keep grinding it out. This can't last forever, right?

Trying to Hold On

Since a lot of you seemed to like my last post that involved a guy fighting the girly voices in his head I decided to post another one that uses the same idea.

I'm still not over this stupid block, but my interest is slowly coming back. Hopefully I'll have some kind of breakthrough this weekend, I really want to give you guys and gals who have been with me for a while something new. Good writers always find a way to keep writing whether they want to or not. And since I'd like to think of myself as a good writer, I had better start doing it.

Discovering Your True Self

I've got good news and bad news. The good news is I am thinking of new ideas for captions, so my interest is starting to come back. The bad news is I still can't find the motivation to actually write, and my forced attempts at doing so anyway clearly show that lack of enthusiasm. Well, it's a start I guess. Hopefully I'll break out of this slump soon, but until then, here are some more of my old captions.

As some of you may have noticed a lot of my pics are of Kate from Kate's Playground. What you don't know is how much restraint I exercise not to use her for every other caption I make. In almost every one of her photo sets there is a picture I could write a caption for (and it certainly doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes either.) In fact the last series I did was originally only supposed to be three or four panels. But I ended up doubling the length when I found the image of Kate dressed as a genie. Unfortunately I burned through my stash of Kate pics in making that series, otherwise I would probably be using another picture of her to help me get writing again. But for now I'll just look over the other numerous times I've used her and hope to find that creative spark once again.

Georgia on My Mind

I'm in a funk, and not the good kind that George Clinton was in (if you don't know who that is you need to brush up on your music history.) I just haven't been into captions the past few days. I've gone through periods of writer's block before, but this is different. Usually even if I can't write I still go and read what other cappers are making. But lately I just haven't had any interest in doing so. I'm hoping that this is just a temporary problem, as I still enjoy looking for new pictures to use in future captions. I really wanted to have some new captions for you all, but I'm not going to turn out something that I don't enjoy, as chances are none of you would either. I've still got plenty of old captions so the update schedule won't be affected, but I don't know when you'll see something new from me. It might be Wednesday, or it might be next week. It all depends on if I find my inspiration again.

But on a much happier note: to those of you who live in the US, Happy 4th of July! Be sure break out the grill, watch something explode, and just be thankful that you're fortunate enough to live in a free country. Sure, things might not be the best right now, but it sure could be a whole lot worse. Oh, and if you happen to be shooting off mortars, make sure that the support faces away from you. That way, if it happens to collapse you don't have to take cover from a barrage of tiny rockets shooting at you. You only make that mistake once.
