2,000,000 Views - Time for a New Look

So in honor of hitting 2 million views I decided to give the blog a fresh coat of paint. New header, new background, new text colors, etc. I might decide to change the layout slightly too, but I don't have time to do that tonight. But I really wanted to put in the effort to make this place look shiny and new again as a way of saying thank you for all of the views. This blog has been so much more of a success than I ever hoped it would be, and I want to sincerely thank every viewer, frequent commenters and lurkers alike, for taking the time to see what I've created. I wouldn't be here without you.

Oh...and in case you hadn't noticed, I posted a new caption too. And I have to say, this one is the start of something I'm really excited about.

P.S. If you have any feedback for me on the new look, good, bad, or whatever, I'd love to hear it. I'm still trying to get the new color scheme the way I want, let me know if readability starts to suffer.

    Congratulations on the views! That's a great accomplishment! Overall I think the color scheme works well, and like Steffi I think it is very easy to read.

    My only 'issue' with your blog is the background. It's lovely, but small enough that I see it repeated. I know my resolution puts me in the minority, but I have my desktop at 1920x1200 and my browser takes up almost the entire height and about 2/3 of the width. Here is what I see when I view your blog (the same was true of your old background, I just never mentioned it)

      Damn, I was afraid of that. I barely got the image large enough to not repeat on my screen, and I'm not running at a very high resolution.

      Hmm, I don't have the time to look into this now, but it's something I'm definitely going to look at.

      Fortunately I'm not entirely sold on this background anyway, it's a little busier than I like, so if I can't fix it I'm sure I can find something that will work better.

    Congratulations! Your blog and your captions are some of my favourites so it's great to see you getting the views you deserve and also being inspired to create new and exciting material! I can't wait to see what you come up with. I like the changes to the blog too.
