Pretty Kitty

Another fluff caption while I wait for inspiration to come back.

Well I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I have absolutely no motivation to do longer, more substantial pieces at the moment. The good news is I'm still able to turn out these silly, shorter caps in the meantime. Of course, for those of you who enjoy my shorter, sillier captions this is all good news.

It's funny, back when all I could turn out were serious, mental based caps, I was wishing I could go back to turning out straight squimers. And now I'm here bitching about the opposite. I guess the grass is always greener. But at the end of the day I can't be too upset, seeing as I'm still able to write new material.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, enjoy the new cap!

  1. Such a pretty sissy kitty he makes! I like both the short and squirmy as well as the longer more serious caps ^_^

    1. That she does, and it's good to know that both styles are appreciated.

  2. I think it's both succinct and hot. That strikes me as clever. If you say you're not inspired, you're the one who knows but . . .

    1. Thank you. I've gone back and read the past couple of "uninspired" captions that I've put out recently, and I'm liking them more now than I did when I wrote them. I think it has more to do with the fact that I'm getting writer's block for the kinds of captions I'm in the mood to make, which is frustrating. But I'm actually really happy that I've been able to cap at all given my previous long breaks with no new material.

  3. Fun cap Rauk! Great use of the photo and the story had me smiling and giggling! (Princess Fluffy!? HA!)

Indeed, the grass is always greener somewhere else. We can at least be thankful that there is grass under your feet. While you are struggling and may not be making the caps you intended to, you are still making wonderfully entertaining caps. Keep up the great work and let the inspiration take you where it wants!

    1. Thanks, Caitlyn. I have to say it is nice that I'm still able to cap, even if the final products are the style of caption I planned to create when I sat down to write. I really have been letting my head get in the way of my creative process lately, so I'm trying to work on getting out of my own way and letting my writing just flow where it wants.

  4. All of your works are a pleasure to behold. As for me, I am not a fan of long winded captions. I usually lose interest half way through unless they truly hit home. You are a unique talent and I look forward to your blog every few weeks. Thank you for anything you post.

    1. Thank you for the kind words. When I do find the inspiration to do longer caps again, I'll try to keep them from getting too out of hand.

  5. Personally, I prefer short captions, but that's just my cup of tea. Good job here though. Nice CAP.
