I didn't have enough time to create a new caption, but I managed to do a few little things here and there.
I finally was able to find a new background for the blog. I had been using one of the defaults provided by blogger, but I always felt a little bad about being lazy with blog design. So here's the new one, that mostly keeps the same vibe as what I was using before, but now I no longer feel like I'm slacking, or at least not as much.
On a side note, for those of you who use a higher resolution that I do (Hi Caitlyn), I tried using an image large enough so that you won't see the tessellation, but please let me know if I still need to go larger.
Now on to formspring:
Did you ever have a problem with the pics you choose to caption (people portrayed don't liking caption, etc?)
I've actually been pretty fortunate in this regard, as I've never had an issue with this. Whether it's just luck, or the fact that I tend to be pretty careful in the images I choose, I don't know. But in case it's the latter, here's a few things I try to do with image selection.
1. I tend to only take images from pornographic sources. These are girls who know exactly what the intent of the images are, and while I may add a slightly different backstory than what they had in mind, the end result is still the same. I'm not taking "clean" models or other celebrities and perverting what could be considered a "harmless" image. The people I use are usually already naked/having sex and I'm writing about them being naked/having sex.
2. I usually stick to sample gallery pics. There have been a few occasions where I have "found" a full image set and used several images from it, but for the most part, the pics I'm using are readily and legally available in sample galleries from various websites.
3. I make no money off of captioning in anyway whatsoever. I know there are some captioners who do, and a lot more who don't. I personally side with the second group as I'm not comfortable taking credit for work that isn't mine. I didn't take the picture, so I only publish my alterations to them under "fair use."
And while I'm talking about image selection, I've saved the url of almost every image that I've ever captioned. So if you like a girl or a particular series that you've seen on this blog, let me know. There's a pretty good chance I can point you in the right direction for where to find more of the same.
