Here's the new series I promised all of you. This is by far the longest story I've ever done. The next closest was 5 pages, and I had used a larger font too. This was made based off of a request from Tatiana over at Rachel's Haven. I really enjoyed writing this as I usually don't take the time to write a complete story. Tatiana loved it, and I hope the rest of you do as well. I don't know if you'll be seeing any other longer series like this from me in the near future, but it certainly was a nice change of pace.

Lucky Either Way
I'm making some decent progress on the new series I'm writing. I've got everything laid out and the first quarter or so already written. If I can keep up the pace you should be seeing it on Wednesday. Until then, here are some of my other captions to hold you over.

New Stuff
So did you all notice the big changes I made? I added a description to the header! I know, such a drastic change will take a little while to get used to, but I'm sure you'll all be fine.
But in all seriousness the main thing I added was a new tag for captions, *portfolio. I remember back when I was just starting to visit tg blogs I would spend a lot of time going through each one to see what the style of the captions was, what themes were common, what kind of images were used, etc. I know a lot of people don't have that kind of time, so they just look at the first few captions and move on.
In order to make it easier for visitors to find the good stuff, I decided to create a specific tag to show off what I believe to be the best, or at least most representative examples of my work. Hopefully this will allow newcomers the ability to quickly see if they want to continue to explore what all I've posted.
This is where I'd like a little help from all of you. Leave a comment about what captions you think I should include. Was there a specific one that made you want to keep coming back? I've already put in my picks, but I doubt I'm the best judge of my work.
I want to limit the number of caps I include to no more than 10%. So right now, I can tag one more, or I can remove some of my picks to make room for what you all actually like.
And one quick thing about the Monday update. I'm currently working on the longest series I've ever done, so I doubt I'll be finished with it in time for tomorrow. So most likely you'll be seeing some of my old stuff for Monday, and this new series on Wednesday.
I really want to make this new tag work, so if you have a favorite, please let me know.

A Quick Test Run
I decided to follow up my last post with some more of the captions I did for One Eyed Pirate. He was one of the main factors in forcing me to start making captions I normally wouldn't do on my own. The images and general ideas he asked me to use pushed me to make things I had never considered before, and it made me a better writer as a result.
Thank you One Eyed Pirate, Candy, Jenna, Jeff. My work would be no where near the level it's at today without you.
Have a good weekend everyone. I've been playing around with some new ideas for the blog, so maybe you'll be hearing from me before Monday.

Manufactured Punishment
I've posted most of my early work by now. That's not to say I've uploaded all of my old captions (I still have a few more waiting for you) but a lot of the stuff you're going to be seeing is going to be fairly similar. These are from when I found my "voice" and made most of my stuff in the same manner, as it was what I did the best. Fortunately I eventually got past it and began making different kinds of captions, but I learned a valuable lesson in how being content with where you are eventually leads to losing your creativity. I still enjoy making captions like these, but I'm glad I no longer limit myself to only using this style.

Molded to Her Tastes
I finally have some new captions for you! I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to get these out, but I haven't had a ton of time, and even when I did have a few minutes I was finding it really had to get motivated to write. I have a ton of pictures to work with, and I know the general stories I want for each one, but I'm having a hard time actually writing. Take for example this cap. I've had the general story worked out for over a month, but every time I tried to write it I just got stuck. I'm still not completely satisfied with how it turned out, but I really wanted to give you all something new and this was the most complete story I had. If I ever have the time I would like to go back and work on this again, but that's a project for another day. The biggest problem I'm having is this is a highly visual story that I tried to convey entirely through a monologue. It should have really been a full short story, but that would have been too long for a one panel cap, and I couldn't find any other images I liked. So I'll add this to my ever growing list of captions I want to turn into full stories. Someday I'm really going to have to get around to actually writing a few of those.

Do It
As of yesterday, this blog now has over 100 followers. Thank you to everyone who has made this blog so popular, so fast. You may remember back when I posted the first multiple panel cap that I said I had originally intended it to be my 100th. Instead it ended up being number 99. Well in honor of 100 followers, here is my 100th caption (I know this blog only has 95 posts, I'm not uploading them in chronological order.) I decided to use the same image as my very first caption to hopefully show that I'm getting better at this.
Thanks again to everyone who's following, and to anyone else who decides to stop by and read my work. I wouldn't be here without you.

Demanding an Apology
Seeing as I posted yesterday I don't really have much to say. Here are some more of my old captions, I appreciate those of you who've seen these before being patient with me while I try to find the time to make some new ones. Um... I guess that's about it. See you all Friday.

On the Clock
And I'm back. Sorry about the Monday post coming out so late. Since I wasn't near a computer I didn't have time to make any new captions over the weekend, but I'll try to rectify that in the near future. Hopefully I should be back to the regular posting schedule, but I'll be sure to let you know if anything comes up. No matter what happens I'm going to try to make sure I still update three times a week, at least for the next few months.

Everything You Wished It To Be
Hey there guys, gals, and everyone in between. Since this will be my last update for a few days I decided to leave you with what some people have said is my best caption. I like to believe that isn't true, not because I don't love this caption (it actually is one of my favorites), but rather because I've made over 100 more since then and I'd like to think I'm continuing to get better as time goes on. This was another one of those captions where I had the pictures and the story for a while, but it took me about two months to get it worded the way I wanted. I hope you enjoy it.
There's a very strong chance that the Monday update will be late, so I might have to push it back to Tuesday. I'll try to get it out as soon as I can, but it probably won't be until Monday evening at the earliest. Have a great couple of days and I'll see you early next week.

Deepest Desires
I hope you all are doing well and thanks for checking out this rare Tuesday update. I decided to post some more captions I made for my friend One Eyed Pirate, including this one, in which he requested I cap an image he had already used. Personally I feel that he did a much better job with it, but I think it turned out okay and he seemed pleased as well. Anyway, I'll see you all tomorrow for my last update of the week.

Hidden Psyche
Hey everyone, here are some new captions to start your week off right. Just a heads up, I won't have computer access later on this week. But don't worry, I'll still be putting out three updates. I'm moving the Friday update to Tuesday, so there will be updates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday this week. So I'll see you tomorrow.

First Time
Here's a question for you. Do you care how the transformation actually happens? Now I know a lot of people are picky about whether it's magic, or surgery, or whatever. But I've always been more interested in how the people involved are feeling after the transformation happens.
Take for example this caption. There's no indication that this is a tg caption until the last line. For me, it's enough to just know a transformation happened, the details aren't overly important. Every now and then I do a full description of the transition, but I feel like those are usually my weaker captions. I've always been better at writing dialog than action, which is why I use it a lot more.
I just feel that a lot of captions out there get bogged down in hammering out all the details of the who, what, when, why, and how, and the story gets lost a little. But then again, I also prefer to leave my captions a little open to let the reader fill in as much or as little as he or she wants, so it may just be my personal taste and style. I'd love to hear what you all think, it just might influence upcoming captions.
Have a great weekend, see you Monday.
