Changes

The brightest lights cast the darkest shadows.

300 captions. There was a time not that long ago I didn't think I'd make it to this point. But here we are.

Now to put any concerns to rest early, I'm not saying I'm never going back to my old style. But to be blunt, I don't see it happening any time soon if it ever happens at all. I'm just not in a place in my life, either as a writer or in the real world, where I can create the types of caps I used to. So rather than waste valuable captioning time trying to force pieces that I'm just going to throw away, I'm going to be focusing more on the mental aspect of tg, as I've been doing with my last couple of captions. so if you like the three or four pieces I've posted since I "returned," you're in luck.

I don't know if my free time or motivation will be increasing too drastically in the near future, but I'm hoping to do better than I have been lately.

And for those of you interested, yes this is the same model I've used for the header and all of my major milestones: such as this one, or this one, or this one, or how about this one?

But in case you don't feel like clicking anything, here's a direct comparison of my very first cap to my latest creation.

At the rate I'm going it's going to take five years, but if I'm fortunate enough to still be doing this for that long, I'm eager to see where my style will be when I reach 400.

  1. Congrats on the milestone Rauk! I love how you've used the same model for your big moments... it's as though we have a personal narrator!

And this is a great cap! I'll most definitely be staying to see the darkness below!
